Uploading a New Map Version

The mod vault has been updated in 2016 and so the server checks and renames files and your map folder according to how they are set in your MAPNAME_scenario.lua

'X' is your version number

  • Step 1: Go to MAPNAME_scenario.lua
  • Step 2: Change the following...
   map_version = 1,

   map_version = 2,

The server will take care of any leading zeroes so you dont need to put 0001 anymore, it can be just 1

After uploading your map, the server will then look through your MAPNAME_scenario.lua and rename your files to match the version number, and your map folder to match the name of the map. You also must then download your map from the vault since the server renamed files in it. This is to ensure that you have the same map as everyone else and will avoid desyncs.

If you were using custom textures, you have to show editor path to textures in newly renamed folder as well, otherwise you will end up with a black screen.
